Meet Our Facilitators

Jena Mastronardi Frederick

LCSW

Jena Frederick, LCSW, is a seasoned therapist with over 30 years of experience. She holds a BA in Behavioral Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Louisiana State University. Her career has spanned work with traumatic brain injury patients, the Jefferson Parish DA’s office, and over two decades in private practice. Jena has led programs addressing DWI and domestic violence, and she is trained in Schema Therapy, integrating techniques like guided imagery and therapist self-disclosure to deepen client work. She also incorporates yoga and is trained in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. Outside of work, Jena enjoys surfing in Nicaragua, dance, making art, and spending time with her family—including a dog, cat, husband, son, and two quirky aquatic frogs.

Melissa Padron

Melissa is a grounded, open and warm facilitator who offers a solid yet soft presence. Her previous work as a teacher working with neuro divergent students and her work with the Cultural services of Eugene reflect her passion for community and inclusion of all people. She has experience working with people to formulate their goals around healing, from processing the trauma of combat with veterans to working those who are experiencing severe illness and fears
that surround the possible end of life.
Melissa has a year and a half of experience as a licensed facilitator. In her work she has
accompanied over 500 people in exploring the healing potential and connection that is possible through group psilocybin journeys and integration practices. She has a background in healing movement arts, somatic practices, and is trauma informed. Melissa has a passion for nature, art, photography, and specializes in making tailored musical playlists for journeywork. Honoring many cultures in her practice Melissa has a diverse background in creating healing spaces and values inclusion

Monica Fayad

Health & Wellness, Body Work

Monica has been devoted to movement, healing, and self-discovery for over two decades. Inspired early by her parents’ focus on health and spirituality, she found her path through modern dance, yoga, and meditation. Since 2003, she has shared her passion through teaching and community work. Monica is trained in various modalities including massage therapy, multiple styles of yoga, mindfulness, Ayurveda, chakra work, Reiki, and Polyvagal-Informed practices. She leads Balanced Yoga School’s teacher training and workshops, and is currently pursuing a master’s in counseling and a coaching certification through the Microdosing Institute. Monica approaches each person with compassion and deep respect for their individuality.

Tania Velasco

Certified Trip Sitter

She started doing this work due to her curiosity and research around healing trauma.  She spends the majority of her time researching and learning about mental health.  Passionate about mental health.  Helping people with alternative medicine.  For growth and a balanced life.  To be free from things that bind us..with love.

Giselle del Castillo

Health and Wellness

Yoga Instructor, Doula, Reiki I

Certified Trip Sitter

Giselle is originally from the Republic of Panama and has been living in New Orleans since 2009. She is trained in Hotel Management and Human Resources and from a young age has been interested in fitness and wellness. 10 Years ago, she stumbled upon yoga and found in it a way of expressing the connection between her mind, body and spirit, to better deal with life’s struggles -this was a life-changing experience for her. She is a 200hr SmartFlow teacher training graduate, as well as a 200 & 300hr TT graduate at the Ashtanga Yoga Room.  She has taken countless continuous education hours in yoga, both Domestically and abroad. She is a certified doula, a Reiki 1 graduate, and also holds a certificate of completion for restorative yoga.  She is currently enrolled at SOPA (Tulane) studying a post baccalaureate certification in Health and Wellness and is soon to be certified with the Foundations of Therapeutic Trip Sitting.
